TIU Public Square

Now, I will introduce the TIU public square.

First, the TIU square is the entrance to TIU; there are cherry trees and other trees on both sides. So then in March, the cherry blossoms were at their best, and in April, the cherry blossoms are all gone, it looks like fine snow, but by spring. The view is so wonderful which is in Japan only.

When you get into TIU, in the left side, The national flags are in the wind, when you look at your country`s national flag, you should not feel alone and tiny. Your country is not far from you.

After that, you will be in the center of square; you will see a nice fountain, the fountain often sprays water in the lunch break and illuminates fountains at night.

Next to the fountain, there is an old clock, it is called a sundial, it doesn`t have a minute hand, and also it doesn`t work on cloudy or rain. I examined it in internet, “the sundial is a device that measures time by the position of the sun. In common designs such as the horizontal sundial, the sun casts a shadow from its style onto a surface marked with lines indicating the hours of the day”. (wikipedia). You will feel the mysterious of science.

In the lunch break, there are a lot of students sit under the big trees and take some break with their friends, it is also pleased and completely free and at ease.

The public square is situated in the middle of building No.1, building No.2, and library, so you could see the public square when you are in the building No.1, building No.2, and library even cafeteriaNo.1.

Near the entrance of building No.1, there is a smoking room for the smokers, it can keep the air clean in other place and don`t afraid about cause others people.

Then, a signboard at the left side of the entrance of building No.1, there are lot of information about obtain employment and notice.

Foreign language education Laboratory is a spot to improve each student's language skills by themself and provide opportunities to get help from various angles.

There are many facilities for studying languages in Laboratory in the building No.1. There are more than 10 computers which you can have access to the internet and copy on free until pm 8:30, then if you have any question, someone who works in the Laboratory always should help you.

Not only computers, TV and special earphones for listening current events news and live broadcast, As long as you make a simple application, you can listening or watching the natural English and stay abreast of recent development in the Europe. And also, these channels open in Laboratory only.

Moreover, there are 3 big bookshelves, dictionary and video you can borrow and read, here looks like a mini-library.

Besides, you can do Japanese and English speaking exercise with natural speaker`s help anytime, you will improve your ability to speak foreign languages and you can get chances to be acquainted with them by communication with them. There are Japanese, Chinese and Korean staff and Including English, French, German, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, and some Japanese teaching material for the foreign students. In addition, Dutch, Swedish, Italian, and Portuguese and so on in 13 languages ​​in Laboratory, you should speak any language to staff which you want, they are amicable like family you will feel you are in specially congenial company as at home, except smoking and laughing loud.
